About Me

Welcome! I'm “Crookie”, AKA Mark Cruickshank , a freelance TV Cameraman and Supervisor with over 30 years' experience in the industry.

I started my career as a handheld cameraman for the BBC, working on many shows such as Top of the Pops, Tomorrow's World, Blue Peter, Dinner Ladies, Noel's House Party, Live & Kicking, Strictly Come Dancing and many more.

Since then, my career as a freelance camera man and supervisor has led me to work on a huge range of TV productions - from panel and talk shows, to concerts, breakfast television and music videos.

During that time, I've supervised many high-profile productions - including The Mobos, Global Citizen Concert in Ghana, Afro Nation Portugal, Tonight with Target, Stormzy Amazon Special, Queens of the Universe, Unapologetic, Sorry I Didn't Know and The Late Show with James Cordon - just to name a few! I've also been lucky enough to work with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry - including Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Usher, and many more.

As a supervisor, my work involves meticulous planning and working closely with production companies and directors to establish where and how we're going to shoot, position cameras, format & medium choice, and pick the team we're going to need to achieve the best possible show. Over the years, I've developed a strong reputation for attention to detail and outstanding results.
